“Star Trek”: The Historic Everett Theatre plans to show “Star Trek” movies for free at 7:30 p.m. most Mondays and Tuesdays through July 19; www.historiceveretttheatre.org. Coming up:

July 19: “Star Trek: Into Darkness”

Sno-King Meaningful Movies: “Merchants of Doubt,” 7 p.m. July 9, Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 8109 224th St. SW, Edmonds. The film tells the story of influential scientists who the filmmakers believe have clouded public understanding of scientific facts on issues, including tobacco smoke and global warming.

“Learning How to Fall”: The premiere of this short film about Langley resident Charlie Murphy and Lou Gehrig’s disease is 7 p.m. July 12 at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts in Langley. Admission is by donation. Filmmaker Nic Askew plans to talk about the movie at the end. A trailer for the film is at nicaskew.com/collection/learning-how-to-fall.

Sail In Cinema: The Port of Everett will show movies at the Waterfront Place Park on Fridays, July 15 to Aug. 19. Movies planned include “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Sandlot,” “Miracle,” “Finding Nemo” and “Top Gun.”

Downtown Everett movies: The Downtown Everett Association plans free outdoor movies at sunset at the Snohomish County Campus, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., with “Labyrinth” on July 30, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” on Aug. 6, and “Jurassic Park” on Aug. 13. An indoor movie, “Hocus Pocus,” will be played at 7 p.m. Oct. 31 at Xfinity Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave.
