Letter: Time to rein in globalization policies

Those who are against Mr. Trump’s policies, on both sides of the aisle, in my opinion, are the globalists. The endorsement by Mr. Bush Sr., a Republican, of Mrs. Clinton; the speech made by Mr. Obama to the U.N. (Sept. 8 article), in which he called for a “course correction” to ensure that the unstoppable course of globalization, etc.; as well as “global cooperation” makes me understand what has been going on, beginning with the administration of Bill Clinton and NAFTA.

We all know what NAFTA has done for this country. It created the “giant sucking sound” according to Mr. Perot, of jobs leaving this country. On CNBC “In the news,” Mr. Clinton is quoted to support the Trans-Pacific Partnership, while Mrs. Clinton so far does not; who is running for election? TPP had been deliberated on for over seven years, secretly. Anyone interested in TPP please read about it on your computer before you vote. How many of the American people understand what globalization will do for this country? Would they like it if a country, like the E.U., would tell us what we can and can’t do, or compete with Third World countries for wages?
