Two held following stabbing in Marysville; victim hospitalized

MARYSVILLE — Police are investigating a stabbing Sunday evening in the 11900 block of 51st Ave. NE.
Officers were told that there had been a fistfight between two boys, one who is 17, the other 14. While the two were fighting, a 15-year old boy jumped into the fight and began stabbing the older boy, according to police.
The 14- and 15-year-old boys were taken into custody and will be booked into the Denney Juvenile Justice Center in Everett for assault, according to Marysville police Cmdr. Rob Lamoureux.
The 17-year-old was transported to an Everett hospital with stab wounds to the upper body that are considered life-threatening. No further information on his condition was available Sunday evening.
Officers located a knife at the scene and are continuing to investigate the incident.
