Man tried to rob Mill Creek mail carrier at gunpoint

MILL CREEK — Postal inspectors are looking for a man who tried to rob a mail carrier at gunpoint near Mill Creek earlier this month.
The incident was reported at 1:50 p.m. Nov. 1 near Tambark Creek Park, between Mill Creek and Bothell. A scuffle broke out, and the carrier smashed the suspect’s hand in the car door, according to a news release issued Monday by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service in Seattle.
The suspect is described as white, thin and in his 30s. He was about 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, with dark brown chin hair. He wore a dark hooded sweatshirt with a zipper. He likely has injuries to his right hand.
He drove off in a 1980s or ’90s red Acura Integra with two women. There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to prosecution. Tips can be made to 206-442-6318.
