Neighborhood grants: The city of Everett is accepting applications from neighborhood associations for projects that foster a sense of community. The city provides up to $2,000 in matching funds for ideas and events such as neighborhood cleanups, park improvements or community gardens. Ideas are submitted online and voted on. County seats: The Island County Board of Commissioners seeks applicants for the Planning Commission, Housing Authority Board, Mosquito Control District, Solid Waste Advisory Committee, Northwest Workforce Development Council, Ferry Advisory Committee and the Law and Justice Council, among other groups.
