Tour of Lights: The annual Holiday Tour of Lights continues 5:30-9:30 p.m. Dec. 16-17 and 19-22 at Cedarcrest Golf Course, 6810 84th St. NE, Marysville. First come, first served. The Marysville Noon Rotary train takes participants on a 20-minute light-filled tour. Also enjoy hot cocoa, holiday music, roast marshmallows and enjoy a free s’more. Musical jam: Enjoy an evening of old-time music with fiddle, guitar, banjo and more on Dec. 16 (third Friday) at the Sisco Heights Community Club, 13527 99th Ave. NE, Arlington. Christmas cruise: The public is invited to participate in the annual Freestyle Christmas Lights Cruise, 6-7 p.m. Dec. 17 on First and Second streets in downtown Snohomish. Chicken dinner: A family chicken dinner is offered 12-2 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington. Santa visits Darrington: The town of Darrington’s first “Santa’s Can-to-Cane Exchange” is set for 5 p.m. Dec. 20. Santa will ride through town on a fire engine collecting cans for the local food bank and giving out candy canes. Pictures with Santa, a bonfire and hot cocoa are scheduled after the food drive, from 7:30 to 8 p.m. at 4-Corners Cafe, 1080 Seeman St. More info: 360-436-1131.

Tutor: Everett Community College’s Adult Literacy Center seeks volunteers who can tutor adult learners two or more hours per week in reading, writing, basic math and English as a second language. Volunteers must be patient, have good literacy skills and be sensitive to a variety of learning styles and cultural backgrounds. Tutoring times and locations are flexible. Assist cancer patients: The Cancer Resource Center at the Providence Regional Cancer Partnership seeks volunteers to work weekly four-hour shifts meeting with cancer patients and caregivers to provide support. Drivers also are needed to get cancer patients to treatments and appointments. Volunteers use their own vehicles and get mileage reimbursement.
