Get the $35 Edmonds Community College application fee waived by applying for admission, and completing a federal student aid application at the same time, at the Lynnwood Library on these dates and at these times only: 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday; and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Health insurance help: SeaMar Community Health Center will help you see if you qualify for free or low-cost health coverage at a free open enrollment workshop, from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Marysville Library, 6120 Grove St. Bring dates of birth, Social Security numbers, pay stubs or a 2015 income tax return, and proof of residency. MLK talk: Edmonds Community College hosts a free Martin Luther King Jr. celebration Thursday. Joy DeGruy will speak at 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre, 20310 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. DeGruy is the author of “Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome: America’s Legacy of Enduring Injury and Healing.” Her 7 p.m. talk is called “America’s Legacy of Enduring Injury and Healing.” Reservations are strongly recommended, and larger groups should contact the theater in advance to make arrangements.
