LYNNWOOD — A woman who was struck and killed by a car in Lynnwood last week has been identified.

Tammy L. Stover, of Lynnwood, was 53, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The crash happened the evening of Jan. 17 along 176th Street SW. The woman who was driving the car was arrested for investigation of vehicular homicide. She was released pending the results of a blood test.

An allegation of vehicular homicide means that police have accused the driver of being under the influence, showing recklessness or disregarding the safety of others. Vehicular homicide cases often require lengthy investigations.
