A group of teens from the Mukilteo YMCA’s My Achievers Program (MAP), based at Mariner High School, toured the local Campbell’s Stockpot factory on Jan. 6.

MAP aims to eliminate the achievement gap for students who face daily challenges due to racial or ethnic barriers, immigration status, or socio-economic factors.

Stockpot has supported Y programs in other ways. Employees volunteer to make meals once a month for the kids served by the YMCA Casino Road Community Center. In addition, the Campbell Soup Foundation awarded the Everett YMCA a $10,000 grant in 2016 to expand a free swim program for third-graders.

Jorge Resendiz and Blanca Rivas, both longtime Stockpot employees, also volunteer as Spanish-speaking “ambassadors” for the Mukilteo Family YMCA and Casino Road Community Center.
