Non-violent end to Everett standoff with reportedly suicidal man

EVERETT — A man was detained Sunday after a lengthy stand-off along Highway 529.
Around 1:40 p.m., Mukilteo police had asked for help finding the man, who reportedly was armed and suicidal, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.
The man was located at Langus Riverfront Park. He was taken into custody about 4 p.m.
The highway was closed during the stand-off.
