BOTHELL — The state expects to reduce travel on northbound I-405 to one lane each night this week while crews restripe the interstate adjacent to an express toll lanes access point.

Work will be done between NE 195th Street and Highway 527. Overnight lane closures are scheduled for 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily, although the work depends on fair weather.

Washington State Department of Transportation crews will restripe the entire half-mile section of interstate in order to add a weave lane by the access point. The short lane should make it easier for drivers to enter and exit the express toll lanes, especially those looking to merge right to reach their exits at the height of the evening commute.
