Everett apartment fire ruled an accident, $370,000 damage estimated

EVERETT — An April 18 fire at the Highlander apartments in north Everett has been ruled an accident.
The fire apparently started in a baseboard heater in a bedroom, city spokeswoman Meghan Pembroke said Friday.
One woman was injured. Four units were damaged, and about 10 people were displaced. The American Red Cross provided assistance.
Damage was estimated at $370,000.
