Kamiak grad on winning DataFest team

Kamiak High School alumna and Wesleyan University student Tiffany Coons, of Everett, was a member of a team that won the Best Innovation prize at the 2017 DataFest competition, held March 31-April 2 on the Connecticut campus.
Seventy-five students from six institutions participated in the annual analysis competition from the American Statistical Association. Students were presented with a large, complex data set and worked over a weekend to explore, analyze and present their findings. Winners received a $50 cash prize, a medal, a certificate, and a year-long membership to the American Statistical Association.
