Death of Marysville man in SWAT standoff ruled a suicide

MARYSVILLE — The Snohomish County medical examiner has ruled the May 31 death of a Marysville man a suicide. The man was the focus of a SWAT stand-off when he took his life.
Earlier that day, police had tried to pull over the 31-year-old man around 7:30 p.m. They had warrants for his arrest, Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said. The man kept driving to his house along 76th Avenue.
A SWAT team attempted to persuade the man to come outside. Police entered the home around 11:30 p.m. and found the body.
The newspaper is not identifying the man due to the circumstances of his death.
