Mayoral candidates forum
Casino Road Academy holds an Everett mayoral candidates forum, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Children’s Village, 14 E Casino Road. On-site child care will be provided at the YMCA’s Casino Road Community Center for children in kindergarten up to age 12.
Candidates running for Everett mayor will be asked to focus on issues facing families living in south Everett and along Casino Road.

Teen scavenger hunt
Teens ages 12 to 18 are invited to the annual Scavenger Hunt, 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Edmonds Library. Work alone or in groups of up to four using a camera. Prizes for winners. Registration required.

Aviator talk
Jerry Brigham discusses the history of enlisted aviators of the U.S. Armed Forces at a PBY Naval Air Museum no-host luncheon, 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the CPO Club, 1080 Ault Field Road, Oak Harbor. A short video will be shown about the only enlisted Navy ace fighter pilot of World War II. The public is invited.

Henna at the library
Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to “Hands on Henna,” 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Lake Stevens Library, 1804 Main St. Learn the history and meanings, and create your own design. A small sample will be applied to each participant.
Henna programs also are planned for 6 p.m. July 10 at the Everett Public Library (ages 10-17), 2 p.m. July 12 at the Mill Creek Library (ages 12-18), 6 p.m. July 18 at the Evergreen Branch Library in Everett (ages 10-17), 11 a.m. July 19 at the Monroe Library, and 3 p.m. July 19 (ages 12-18) at the Stanwood Library (grades 4-8).
Registration is required.

WAYS TO HELP
Volunteers needed to Stuff the Bus
The Everett Public Schools Foundation plans an annual “Stuff the Bus for Kids” school supply drive in August and seeks volunteers. School supplies will be collected at three local stores Aug. 11-13. More than 1,700 backpacks will be filled with the donations Aug. 14-17.

Lighthouse Festival help
The Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival seeks volunteers to help prepare for the Sept. 8-10 event. The next monthly planning meeting is 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Chamber of Commerce, 4902 76th St. SW.
