Grocery Outlet recently donated to Salt of the Earth Food Bank and Soup Kitchen. Pictured from left are grocery owner Debbie Jackson, employee Eric Foreman, food bank representatives Sandra and David Richards, and grocery owner Todd Jackson.

Debbie and Todd Jackson from Everett Grocery Outlet donated $2,688, along with 13 $200 gift cards and 29 boxes of nonperishable food to Salt of the Earth Food Bank and Soup Kitchen on Aug. 16. The store held a food drive in July. Contributions came from the owners, employees and customers. Employee Eric Foreman alone helped raise $1,677.

The store has helped the food bank in other ways, including lending its commercial freezers when the food bank’s broke down.

Safeway 3298 on 75th Street in Everett, Central Market and the Edmonds WinCo also support the food bank.
