GRANITE FALLS — Snohomish County search crews rescued a hiker Sunday after she had fallen and hit her head on a rock.

The 32-year-old woman from Seattle was hiking with five others near Foggy Lake in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. She fell Saturday afternoon, and initially thought she had a minor head injury, said Lt. Rob Martin with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Her condition worsened overnight, Martin said.

A member of her hiking group called 911 Sunday morning. She was rescued by helicopter in the afternoon and taken to the hospital.
