MUKILTEO — A Mukilteo man has been arrested for investigation of a stabbing near Endeavor Elementary School.
A Granite Falls man, 34, knocked on a door of a home near the school around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, seeking help because he’d been stabbed in the lower back, said officer Myron Travis of the Mukilteo Police Department.
He left the scene before police arrived. Minutes later someone else called for police after the victim had knocked on another door a half-mile north on South Grove Drive. An ambulance took the man to an Everett hospital for injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening.
Officers later tracked down the suspect, 48, of Mukilteo, at his workplace in Everett. He was interviewed at the police station, and booked into jail for investigation of second-degree assault.
Detectives believe the actual stabbing occurred on Ellis Way, a half-mile east of the school.
