More than 30 volunteers from The Boeing Company recently visited Hawthorne Elementary School in Everett to be reading buddies with young students. Page Ahead coordinated the program. The nonprofit holds two or three events at the school each year and has donated over 1,000 books to students there over the past two years.

Meanwhile, Cascade High School students participated in Manufacturing Week events, which included a tour of Boeing, as well as a hands-on look at programs at the Everett Community College Advanced Manufacturing Training & Education Center (AMTEC).
