Marysville Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 3219 on Oct. 12 handed out new winter coats to 80 first-graders at Liberty Elementary School, thanks to a partnership with national nonprofit Operation Warm.

“This is truly one of our favorite events of the year,” said Capt. Jason Tucker, IAFF Local 3219 president. “We love to see all the smiles when the kids pick up their coats.”

Donations for the U.S. union-made coats came through a fundraiser with KISW 99.9 FM.
