LAKE STEVENS — An armed man robbed a Qdoba restaurant late Monday in Lake Stevens.

The man walked into the closed business when two male employees were cleaning up around 11:50 p.m. in the 500 block of Highway 9. He aimed a handgun at the workers, told them to open the safe and ordered them to get on the ground, Lake Stevens Police Chief John Dyer said.

He fled with about $1,000. No one was injured.

The man was wearing a black Reebok hoodie with white lettering. He’s described as heavyset, from 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10, with dark facial hair.

Police released a few images from security cameras Tuesday afternoon.
