38-year-old dies in head-on crash near Oak Harbor

OAK HARBOR — A 38-year-old man died Friday morning after his pickup truck collided with oncoming traffic near Oak Harbor.
The man was driving east in the 800 block of Silver Lake Road, according to a Washington State Patrol memo. It was shortly before 6:20 a.m. His Chevrolet pickup crossed the center line while navigating a curve and struck another vehicle head-on.
The other driver, a 29-year-old Oak Harbor man, wasn’t injured, according to the State Patrol.
