EDMONDS — A 35-year-old woman was attacked by a stranger while on her morning run in Edmonds on Tuesday.
She was not injured and was able to drive her attacker away.
The woman was jogging along Bowdoin Way shortly before 7 a.m., Edmonds police Sgt. Shane Hawley said. She heard a man run up behind her. He reportedly grabbed her around the shoulders and threw her on the ground. The woman fought back, kicking him and screaming.
He ran away. The woman went to a nearby home looking for help and a phone to call 911.
Police searched the area but did not find the suspect, Hawley said. The man was described as white and about 6-feet-tall. He was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
A neighbor provided surveillance video of the suspect walking down the road.
