Body confirmed as that of missing man

SNOHOMISH — A body found floating in the lower Snohomish River on Tuesday has been identified as Henry Groeneveld, 63.

The Snohomish man’s death was ruled a suicide by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner. Groeneveld died from drowning.

He disappeared Dec. 11 after telling his family he was going to the river. They led several searches in the weeks afterward. His body was discovered earlier this week at Dagmar’s Marina in Everett.
