EVERETT — No property is believed to be threatened by a 75-foot-long mudslide between Grand Avenue and W. Marine View Drive in Everett.

City crews will continue to monitor the location, and more movement is possible, said Kathleen Baxter, a public works spokeswoman.

“Staff did not find evidence of a larger, deeper slide,” she said.

The slide also doesn’t appear to have any connection to the construction of a pedestrian bridge nearby, Baxter said. Rainfall is a more likely factor.

Freight rail activity is affected.
