The Elizabeth Ruth Wallace Living Trust awarded $200,000 to Page Ahead, a Seattle-based children’s literacy program. The money will help the nonprofit provide services to nearly 900 children from low-income households in the Edmonds School District over the next six years.

Wallace grew up in Alderwood Manor and later graduated from Edmonds High School in 1942. She retired in the late 1990s after managing several travel agencies. She died in 2016 at her home in California. Her family now makes charitable donations on her behalf.
