WSDOT postpones weekend work on US 2

EVERETT — This weekend’s planned closure of westbound U.S. 2 has been postponed because of weather.

The state Department of Transportation has rescheduled the work for June 2 and 3.

The work is to remove pothole-riddled, rutted and cracked pavement between the Highway 204 interchange and Ebey Slough.

In all, WSDOT is planning six weekend closures of westbound U.S. 2 between Everett and Lake Stevens and Snohomish this spring and summer.
