MARYSVILLE — A truck caused extensive damage when it crashed into a building early Monday in north Marysville.

The driver of the 2017 Freightliner tractor and trailer was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. He is 30.

Shortly after 5 a.m., the rig was headed northbound on I-5 when it left the roadway and down an embankment south of 172nd Street, the Washington State Patrol reported. It rolled through a barbed wire fence and slammed into the building. No one was inside at the time.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
