McKaulay Kolakowski, a 2016 graduate of Henry M Jackson High School in Mill Creek, and his team won first place at the Internet of Things (IoT) Hackathon held in April at T-Mobile’s headquarters in Bellevue. The team split a $4,000 grand prize, and each member also received a phone.

McKaulay is majoring in informatics with a minor in ethics at the University of Washington. He is among the top undergraduates in the Information School. This summer, he’s working at Mill Creek digital marketing business Conversion Logix before heading back to UW in the fall for his senior year.
