Grant writing workshop
A two-part grant writing workshop is set for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 7 and 21 at the Marysville Library, 6120 Grove St. The first session is “Crafting Proposals that Pack a Punch”; the second, “From Budgets to Attachments, Character Counts, and Balancing Stats with Stories.” Registration is required.

Handcrafted in Stanwood-Camano
An exhibit of local fine arts crafters is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, 27130 102nd Ave. NW, Stanwood. Find wooden boats, banjos, beadwork, cigar box guitars, sculpture, pottery, quilts, mixed media, ceramics and furniture, all by local artists.

Rubber band fun for kids
The Sultan Library hosts Mad Science for an “Energy Burst” event, 10 a.m. Saturday. Kids ages 6 and up can explore the energy of motion by racing rubber band dragsters and launching rubber band catapults in teams. Space is limited. First come, first served. The library is at 319 Main St.

Teens: Ear bud wires tangled?
Teens can use fuse beads to create ear bud holders that keep cords from getting tangled at an “Explore Summer” craft event, 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Granite Falls Library, 815 E Galena St.

Early stage memory loss group
Emotional, educational and social support is available for those who are in the early stages of memory loss. The Alzheimer’s Association provides a space to share experiences and learn about memory loss in a confidential environment. Registration is required for this group, which now meets 10:30 a.m. to noon second Thursdays in Everett.
