Drilling work on 88th Street NE between State Avenue and 67th Avenue NE is scheduled Monday through Thursday. Working hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Single-lane closures will be needed at times. Drivers should anticipate delays or use alternate routes if possible.

‘Let it Go’ with Elsa in Darrington

The “Summer of Musicals” series at Darrington Library ends with a “Frozen Sing-Along,” 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 30. All are welcome. There will be a raffle for a copy of the movie. The library is at 1005 Cascade St.

Advisory committee openings

Snohomish County seeks volunteers to serve on a technical advisory committee that reviews applications for projects that use federal grants to benefit low-income people and neighborhoods.

Representatives from the following groups are needed:

Two low-income people

·

Two people with disabilities

·

Two senior citizens

·

Two people from racial or ethnic minority groups

Volunteers are appointed to a three-year term and meet two to three times each year in late fall or early winter.

Help for Mill Creek block parties

Mill Creek now offers a trailer stocked with items that can be used for neighborhood block parties.

The new block party trailer can be used free by Mill Creek residents. The trailer is equipped with Giant Jenga and other games, tables and chairs, coolers and a bubble machine, and other items. A $150 refundable deposit is required. Reservations are first come, first served.
