Help bring frights to theater
The Historic Everett Theater seeks volunteers to help its resident ghosts, Smilin’ Al and the Apparitions, put on a Fright Night event Oct. 28 to 31.
Volunteers are needed to take tickets, market the event, coordinate a children’s costume contest, design costumes and props, do makeup or stage and tech support, clean and perform other tasks. More than two dozen people also will be needed to act the parts of ghosts, zombies, vampires and other characters.
Event plans call for family-friendly tours, followed by full fright tours with midnight showings of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”
A portion of event ticket proceeds will be donated to local Boys & Girls Clubs.
Those interested in helping out should come to a planning meeting, held 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays in the upstairs lobby of the theater.
