Upcoming pancake breakfasts
Snohomish: 8:30-10:30 a.m. Sept. 1 (first Saturday) at the Snohomish Senior Center, 506 Fourth St. Pancakes, French toast, sausage, ham, biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs. Cost is $5, $3 for kids.
Bothell: 8-11 a.m. Sept. 1 and 15 (first and third Saturdays) at the Northshore Senior Center, 10201 E Riverside Drive. Pancakes, eggs, ham (first Saturday) or sausage (third Saturday), coffee or tea, and orange juice. Cost is $5.
Edmonds: 8:30-9:30 a.m. Sept. 7 (first Friday) at the Edmonds Senior Center, 220 Railroad Ave. Pancakes, strawberry compote, eggs, ham, biscuits and sausage gravy, beverages. Cost is $5.
Lake Stevens: A Norwegian Pancake Breakfast is served 7:30-10:30 a.m. Sept. 15 (third Saturday, September to May) at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 2111 117th Ave. NE. Cost is $6; children younger than 4 are free.
Monroe: 8-10 a.m. Sept. 15 (third Saturday) at the Monroe Community Senior Center, 276 Sky River Parkway. Pancakes, French toast, eggs, ham or sausage, beverages. Cost is $5, $3 younger than 12.
Healthy aging forums
The Snohomish County Council on Aging’s Healthy Aging Committee offers a pair of free forums for seniors:
Everett: 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 20 at the Everett Yacht Club, 404 14th St.
Stanwood: 9 to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 27 at the Stanwood Senior Center, 7430 276th St. NW
There will be workshops on identity theft, falls prevention, dental health, hospitalization and end-of-life health care decisions, along with exhibits, resources, refreshments and door prizes.

WAYS TO HELP
Run with Heart for Colton’s Army
Run with Heart is set for 7:30 to 11 a.m. Sept. 29 at McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE, Everett.
The fundraiser supports the Ironheart Foundation and Colton’s Army.
Specific events include a 5k run or walk, a kids 1k and a Toddler Dash.
Register for the 5k for $30 by Sept. 9 to get a T-shirt. Late registration is $35 and ends Sept. 27. Kid events are $15.

Event targets prostate cancer
A Zero Prostate Cancer Run and Walk is set for 9:30 a.m. Sept. 29 at Willis Tucker Park, 6705 Puget Park Drive, Snohomish.
The fundraiser for local prostate cancer research, outreach and support includes a 5k run and walk, a one-mile walk and a Kids Superhero Dash for Dad.
Rather sleep in? (Or otherwise help drum up donations but not participate at the event?) Rally donations from your bed through the Snooze for Dudes program.
Registration fees range from $15 to $35, depending on the event.
