Borrowed Time: The Music of Styx: The Styx tribute band performs at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St., Marysville. DjangoFest Northwest: The 18th annual gypsy jazz festival is Sept. 19-23 at Whidbey Island Center for Arts, 565 Camano Ave., Langley. Mark Kroos: The North Carolina native will play two guitar necks at the same time at 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at Cope Gillette Theater, 2710 Wetmore Ave., Everett. Free. Kroos uses a tapping technique that involves both hands fretting the strings. In 2011, Kroos placed first in Guitar Player Magazine’s International Competition in Nashville. We Are Everett 5K and Concert: Mary Lambert of “Same Love” fame (and an Everett native) is headlining this Everett Music Initiative event on Sept. 29.
