Ferry contract bid updates topic of Mukilteo council session

MUKILTEO — Washington State Ferries officials will update the Mukilteo City Council on proposed changes to the terminal bid package in a meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 11930 Cyrus Way.

The new terminal bid package is slated to be advertised in mid-October for construction of terminal buildings of the $167 million Mukilteo Multimodal Terminal Project. In the first round, all bids were rejected for being too high.

Ferries project staff met with council members Sept. 10 in a work session to discuss concerns about changes that would reduce costs.
