Man who died while walking on Highway 529 ID’d

EVERETT — A man who died after being struck by a car on Highway 529 has been identified.

Edward A.K. Sheppard, 30, was hit Oct. 12 while he was walking on the roadway north of the Snohomish River.

The Snohomish County medical examiner concluded that Sheppard’s death was accidental.

The crash, which took place around 9:30 p.m., shut down the southbound portion of the highway for several hours.
