HEADS UP

Hear from The Herald

Noah Haglund and Rikki King, reporters with The Daily Herald, are scheduled to be on KNKX 88.5 FM radio on March 21, talking about the Oso mudslide.

Both reporters covered the 2014 disaster and the ensuing personal loss, scientific inquiry, land use discussions and civil litigation, among other topics.

The radio station’s special was planned around March 22, the five-year mark since the slide. It is scheduled to run from 3 to 6 p.m. and includes voices from attorneys, public officials and survivors.

Everybody’s Closet is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Advent Lutheran Church, 4306 132nd St. SE, Mill Creek.

Charity dinner

The volunteer kickoff spaghetti dinner for South Whidbey Hearts & Hammers has been rescheduled for 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Langley United Methodist Church on Anthes Avenue.

Dinner is a $5 minimum donation for a homemade meat, vegan or gluten-free meal.

A benefit performance by David Ossman and local musicians at the Clyde Theatre in Langley of “Not Insane! 2020” will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets are $20 and available in advance at BrownPaperTickets.com, or pay-what-you-will the day of the show, if there are still seats. All proceeds go to South Whidbey Hearts & Hammers.

Pub crawl

Adults age 21 and over are invited to the legendary Oak Harbor Pub Crawl, that provides rides to various pubs between 6 and 9 p.m. Saturday.
