Kids and artists meet
The Schack Art Center hosts an event for teenagers to meet and work with local artists from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the center, 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett.
There will be glass blowing demonstrations and refreshments at this free event.

Celebrate Earth Day
Visit Camp Killoqua for a day spent in nature playing games, hiking trails and gardening, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, 15207 E. Lake Goodwin Road, Stanwood.
This event is a celebration of our surroundings, just before Earth Day. It also is an opportunity for the whole family to check out the camp before summer.

T-ball catch up
All alumni and current players of Pacific Little League are invited to catch up, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Lynndale Park, 18927 72nd Ave. W., Lynnwood.
Team leaders strongly encourage anyone to attend who has been associated with the league since its inception in 1965. There will be time for old friends to chat and games for the kids. Barbecue will be provided for purchase. Otherwise, this event is free.

Get rid of trash and recycling
Marysville residents are invited to bring garbage and unwanted household items from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27 to the city’s public works department, 80 Columbia Ave. Most items will be accepted for free. The first 50 refrigerators and freezers will be accepted at no cost, but after that people will be charged $35.
Those interested should bring an ID card or utility bill for proof of address.

Teens share stories
Students from the Scriber Lake High School writing program are set to read from their most recent book at 1 p.m. on April 25, at the Edmonds Library, 650 Main St.
The young people will be sharing some very personal stories, and will follow with a discussion. All are welcome to this free event.

Prep for emergencies
The city of Mill Creek will host a workshop on how to develop family and neighborhood emergency plans from 6:30 to 8 p.m. May 21 at Mill Creek City Hall South, Council Chambers, 15728 Main St. Other workshops are scheduled for Aug. 20 and Nov. 27.

MEETINGS
The Snohomish County Council is set to meet for a special evening meeting in Woodway at 6 p.m. Monday. The address is Woodway Town Hall, 23920 113th Place W. A charter amendment required the County Council to host an evening meeting in each of the five council districts every year. Monday’s meeting is in Council District 3, represented by Councilwoman Stephanie Wright.
