Trunk sale
Camano Center’s Community Trunk Sale is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot at the center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island.
There will be a pancake breakfast benefiting the Meals on Wheels program serving Camano Island from 8 to 10 a.m.

Fun at the fair
The Whidbey Island Fair with rides, entertainment, vendors and more is July 18-21. The fairgrounds is at 819 Camano Ave. in Langley.

Dance party
Dance and mingle with peers of many abilities to popular music played by a disc jockey. Volunteers set up and supervise this social evening for developmentally disabled youth and adults from 7 to 9 p.m. July 16 at Floral Hall at Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd., in Everett. A $1 donation accepted at the door.

Call for artists
Artists are wanted to exhibit for three-month shows at Rosehill Community Center in juried selection.
Submissions close July 31. Submit digital images of 10 pieces of art for review. Anyone is welcome to apply, professional or amateur.

Sail-in movies
The Port of Everett hosts its fourth annual Sail-in Cinema series starting July 19. Movies will be shown every Friday night until Aug. 23 in Boxcar Park, 1200 Millwright Loop W. Sail into the bay and watch from a boat, or pack chairs and blankets to watch on land.
Films and times include: 9:10 p.m. July 19, “Battleship”; 9:05 p.m. July 26, “Transformers”; 8:55 p.m. Aug. 2, “Remember the Titans”; 8:45 p.m. Aug. 9, “Pirates of the Caribbean”; 8:30 p.m. Aug. 16, “The Proposal”; 8:20 p.m. Aug. 23, “Moana.”
Activities start an hour before the film, with yard games, free popcorn and a beer garden.

The Snohomish School District’s Book Café is delivering free books for students to read during summer. Watch for the Book Café vehicle Mondays and Tuesdays through Aug. 20 at the following locations in Snohomish:

11 a.m. Mondays, Three Rivers Mobile Home Park, 1302 Elliot Road;

These elementary school libraries in the Snohomish School District will be open from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays through Aug. 20: Cascade View, Dutch Hill, Machias, Riverview, Little Cedars, Seattle Hill and Totem Falls.
