Schack seeking volunteers
The Schack Art Center is looking for help with upcoming events, including the annual Fresh Paint art festival Aug. 17 and 18 at the Port of Everett Marina. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
Information sessions on volunteering will be held 5 to 5:30 p.m. July 24 and from 10:30 to 11 am. July 27.

Tonight the City of Everett’s Cascade View and Twin Creeks Neighborhoods are hosting their annual local candidates’ forum for the Primary Election on Aug. 6.
Come hear the issues as stated by hopefuls for Snohomish County Council, Clerk, Treasurer, Auditor, Assessor, Everett City Council, Port of Everett Commission, Everett School District and Superior Court.
The group meets at the Everett Police Department South Precinct at 1121 SE Everett Mall Way Everett. Enter by flagpole.

Sea, Trees, & Pie Bike Ride
The fourth annual Whidbey Camano Land Trust Sea, Trees and Pie Bike Ride will be held Sunday July 21.
There are three loops to choose from; 5, 10 and 20 miles. Arrival time and check is between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
All routes start and end at the Coupeville ferry terminal at the State Park birding platform on Highway 20 across from Crockett Lake. Advance registration is required.
A slice of pie from Whidbey Pies will be waiting at the finish line for all registered riders.

Pioneer Days in Arlington
Step back 100 years and experience what Arlington was like then: milk a cow, knead bread dough, make butter by hand or wash your clothes on a scrub board during the annual event. Admission is free to Pioneer Days happening 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 27 at the Stillaguamish Valley Pioneer Museum at 20722 67th Avenue NE.

Centennial Trail History Day
Developed in 1989 during Washington’s centennial, Centennial Trail ranges from Woodinville to Skagit County, connecting Puget Sound towns and cities along the way. More than 520,000 trail goers use Centennial Trail annually.
Learn more fun and interesting facts during “Centennial Trail History Day” hosted by the Snohomish County Historic Preservation Commission on July 20 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. beginning at the Machias Trailhead, 1624 Virginia St. Activities for kids, hands-on interactive exhibits like screening for artifacts, and a chance to touch historic artifacts will all be offered at this free, public event.
