Sculpture wonderland
The next open house at Cloudstone Sculpture Park & Gallery is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 31 and Sept. 1
The private sculpture park on Whidbey Island sits on 20 acres with more than 450 pieces of art by Hank Nelson. The park includes monumental 12-ton Dakota mahogany granite monoliths and 20-foot steel structures. A gallery showcases stone carvings, marbles and bronzes.
Cloudstone is open to the public only twice a year, in late April and late August. At other times tours are available by appointment.
The park is at 5056 Cloudstone Lane in Freeland. Cost is $10.

Pub talk
Lynne McKee, former manager of the FBI Art Theft Program, talks about international art theft during the University of Washington Bothell Pub Night Talk, 7 p.m. Aug. 27 at the McMenamins Anderson School, 18607 Bothell Way NE.
McKee spent eight years at the FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C., as its art theft manager. She helped recover more than $300 million in property and co-founded the FBI’s Rapid Deployment Art Crime Team. She plans to talk about real FBI cases and undercover operations.

Alzheimer’s walk
Join Alzheimer’s Association members and hundreds of others for the Walk to End Alzheimers on Sept. 7 at Boxcar Park, 1200 Millwright Loop E., Everett.
The event is to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. Registration opens at 9 a.m., and an opening ceremony is at 10 a.m. At that time participants can honor their loved ones who have been affected by the disease. The walk begins at 10:30 a.m. The route is 2 miles long and fully accessible. Pets are welcome.
Attendance is free, but those who donate $100 or more receive a T-shirt. Last year $136,578 was raised. Register online at alz.org/walk or call 800-272-3900.

Arlington Fly-In
The 51st annual Arlington Fly-In is this weekend, Friday to Sunday, at the Arlington Municipal Airport, 18204 59th Ave. NE.
New this year is an area for vintage aircraft, a space to fly drones and a collection of large remote-controlled flying jets. Festivities are from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to dusk Sunday. Cost is $10 each for those who arrive by plane, and $17 each for those who arrive by car. Kids 15 and under enter free.

Everett High reunion
The Everett High School class of 1969 will have a 50th reunion from 6 to 11 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Everett Golf and Country Club.
Cost is $65 for buffet dinner and no-host bar.
