Superior Court, Pos. 7: Alexander not an advocate for victims

Regarding the letter in support of Anna Alexander for Superior Court judge, my family completely disagrees. I was glad The Herald has been running articles about the judicial candidates because I didn’t recognize the name Anna Alexander. Once I saw her photo and realized she changed her last name from Goykhman to Alexander (right before the election) I remembered her very well.
My young granddaughter was a victim in a Superior Court case and Ms. Goykhman was the defense attorney. She was anything but an ally toward my granddaughter. During the trial she blamed my granddaughter for the abuse she endured. It was horrifying. The jury saw through that and found her abuser guilty. A few jurors sought us out after the verdict and apologized to us for the way the defense attorney had spoken about and portrayed our granddaughter in the trial.
I strongly encourage voters to watch Ms. Alexander in a trial with a young victim before voting for her. You will see and understand why nobody in my family will be voting for her.
