Edmonds man found in field near Silvana identified

SILVANA — A 33-year-old Edmonds man whose body was found in a field near Silvana has been identified by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Daniel C. Shields, 33, died of blunt-force injuries, according to the medical examiner.

A passerby discovered his body in the 100 block of Pioneer Highway East around 8 a.m. Dec. 22, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Shields’ manner of death is still under investigation.
