Wanted: Bank robber strikes Snohomish Wells Fargo

SNOHOMISH — Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a bank robber who struck a Snohomish bank Monday afternoon.
Around 3:30 p.m., a man carrying a black-gray-and-white duffel bag entered the Wells Fargo at 1219 13th Street, then passed a handwritten note demanding money to an employee. The man fled the bank with cash.
A police dog could not track him down, according to a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office press release sent out Tuesday.
Detectives aren’t sure if the man escaped in a vehicle. The robber was described as white, 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10, with hair covering the back of his neck that appeared to be blond or light brown. The man wore a black baseball cap with an emblem reading, “AMSOIL.” Based on security footage, it’s unclear if he wore a wig under the cap. He also had an olive-green jacket, black pants and brownish hiking shoes.
