EVERETT — The Everett AquaSox bats are on a roll again.

The AquaSox slugged six home runs, including two each from Kaden Polcovich and Carter Bins, and Everett pounded out 20 total hits in a 16-2 win over the Hillsboro Hops in the first game of a six-game series at Funko Field in Everett.

It was the third time this season the AquaSox have scored 15 runs in a game. That matches the number of times they have reached the 15-run mark over the previous eight season combined.

Austin Shenton went 4-for-5 with a home run and three doubles, and Jack Larsen had three hits, including a home run, for Everett.

Bins finished 4-for-5, and Polcovich went 3-for-5 with four runs batted in for the AquaSox (16-9).

Lost in the great offensive night was a quality outing from starter Matt Brash.

Brash allowed only one run on four hits over 5.2 innings to earn the win. He struck out seven and walked just two.

Spencer Brickhouse homered and Nick Dalesandro had two hits for Hillsboro (10-15).
