Merchants hosting free kids clinic before Saturday’s game

EVERETT — The Everett Merchants are holding a unique doubleheader Saturday at Funko Field.

The Pacific International League summer collegiate baseball team is hosting a free kids clinic for players ages 7-12 on the field, which will include discussions, demonstrations and drills on different phases of the game. The clinic runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to players of all experience levels and abilities.

Then following the clinic the Merchants have one of their premier home games of the season, as they host the first of two nonleague games against TBK San Francisco. First pitch is at 4:05 p.m.
