EVERETT — One person was displaced by an Everett house fire Monday afternoon that caused about $250,000 in damage near Howarth Park.

First responders were called around 4:30 p.m. to the 4100 block of Cliff Drive for reports of flames coming from the house’s windows and roof, according to a news release sent out by the Everett Fire Department around noon Tuesday.

Fire crews saw smoke billowing from the first floor. The flames caused extensive damage, and it took about 20 minutes for firefighters to get the situation under control.

Crews prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring homes.

Nobody was injured.

The cause was under investigation by the Everett Fire Marshal’s Office.
