GOLD BAR — The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a woman whose body was found in the river downstream from Wallace Falls.

Alisonstar Molaf, 25, of Ridgefield, New Jersey, was hiking with a friend Friday when she went missing. Around 8 p.m. that night, the friend reportedly told park rangers she and the New Jersey woman were separated on the trail and she wasn’t sure where the woman was, according to sheriff’s spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe.

Search and rescue crews used a drone to find the New Jersey woman’s body in the river around 9 a.m. Saturday.

The medical examiner’s office confirmed her identity Tuesday afternoon. Her cause and manner of death had not yet been determined.
