AquaSox split doubleheader with Canadians

VANCOUVER, B.C. — Noelvi Marte homered and Brayan Perez tossed five scoreless innnings as the Everett AquaSox blanked the Vancovuer Canadians 5-0 in Game 2 to earn a split in a doubleheader on Saturday at Nat Bailey Stadium. The Canadians won the opener 4-0.

Both games were seven innings in length.

In Game 2, Spencer Lavey went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI and Perez allowed just three hits and struck out three to earn the win.

In the opener, the Everett offense managed just three hits in a shutout loss.

Juan Mercedes had a solid start on the mount for Everett (10-15), allowing just two unearned runs on two hits in five innings while striking out seven.

Addison Barger homered for Vancouver (12-12) in the win.
