Every year The Daily Herald takes nominations and lets readers vote for the Best of Snohomish County Awards. There are dozens of categories, but here are the 2022 top choices for best hiking trails:

First Place: Wallace Falls State Park in Gold Bar

Wallace Falls State Park features nine waterfalls, hiking trails along the Wallace River and panoramic views of the Skykomish River valley. Folks can also camp overnight at this Gold Bar destination.

Second Place: Centennial Trail in Snohomish, Lake Stevens & Arlington

Third Place: Mount Pilchuck in Granite Falls
